[ there's a different rhythm to attacking than there is to defending, the same principle goes here — it's not as if one is an inherently superior position, and it's no surprise that kaiser doesn't want to start things off the same way he did the last time. he has more confidence that he can endure long enough to find an opening than he does in being able to break through noa's guard, but perhaps he shouldn't have confidence in that either — still, kaiser's known to relish an impossible challenge, so he hasn't considered that possibility yet.

his reactions are quiet but not muted — when he isn't making a point to exert his presence, kaiser tends to be silent, because he'd learned as a child that being too noisy would only earn him the kind of attention that he could do without. his breathing comes out rougher, with an uneven and gasping quality to it; against weaker teams, kaiser sometimes doesn't even lose his breath after 90 minutes of running up and down the pitch, which is plenty of proof that this is affecting him. he turns to the point that his other cheek is pressed fully into the pillow, body stretching out underneath noa in a way that seems to silently be goading noa to continue lower.

it might be tempting to conclude that kaiser is simply enjoying having the attention of the world's best on him, but that would be far too boring for him. if noa cares to glance up, he'd note that between blinks, kaiser's gaze is intense in concentration even if he's not looking at anything in particular to concentrate on. he would probably also note that it's honestly such an awkward bit of body language in this particular situation, he should probably just shut his eyes? it definitely gives away the fact that he's attempting to bait noa, but noa could've figured that out with far less context clues anyways. ]
