You would need to know more than German and English to communicate with other teammates. Didn't Re Al put in an offer for you? They're in Spain, if I recall correctly.
Perhaps. I don't read much, either, but my mother thought it was important that I know some about poetry.
english is sufficient in most cases but yeah, it never hurts to pick up the language of whatever league you end up in. it also is useful to be able to cuss people out in their native tongue [ heh ]
? thats surprising you seem like the type who would be very well read
Not as much as I'd like. I am a very busy person. Basketball, student council, and my studies all take time, and I don't have the opportunity to read for leisure. And when I do, I tend to gravitate towards nonfiction.
me too, actually i think its better to read with a purpose in mind... ive never really gotten into reading fiction. though i do like watching movies...
That's a good point. One of my teammates has an awful attention span, but he's riveted when watching superhero movies. The early movies had some charm to them but after a while...
But, yes, I do enjoy science fiction. I enjoy it more when it doesn't involve aliens and the work explores the relationship between humanity and technology, though I don't mind if they're there.
[ live fast 👍 die young 👍 kaiser doesn't want to live with the consequences of being malnourished, uneducated, and beaten on a regular basis once he doesn't have youth to cushion all of these physical issues 👍 ]
isnt that more of an ancient greek thing? or really more of a "humans everywhere all the time" thing?
oh [ hm. ] i dont think its that simple but i guess i agree with that nonetheless
[ boy who didn't ever attend school properly... personally, kaiser would say there's bigger problems that need to be solved before the world can even get to the point of guaranteeing people can study in general... ]
everything in moderation? i dont think theres such a thing as having too much ambition, personally.
then you have the ambition to win in a way that doesnt mean you have to sacrifice anything else so, i still think what i said is true... theres no such thing as too much ambition... maybe there is such a thing as the wrong ambition, though.

I think the last novel I read for fun was before I became team captain at Teikou.

I think Blade Runner is my favorite movie.

That said, Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress.

I am, as they say, a Renaissance man. I play the violin and piano as well.

[ he's just teasing... mostly. ]
wow
do you also paint and philosophize
no subject
According to my friends, I philosophize about victory. But that's mostly teasing. I have painted, but I'm not very good at it.

what else does a so-called renaissance man do, then
die prematurely?
[ you know, on account of lifespans back then... ]

[Given his mother died early, Akashi considers it's more possible than not.]
They sleep with pretty young men and women when they can get away with it.

or really
more of a "humans everywhere all the time" thing?

Yes, it's a "humans all the time" thing. It's become less of a thing with the advent of Christianity.
[Well, it wasn't just the Christians but they were the biggest culprits. And, of course, the way humans all over were obsessed with bloodlines.]

[ akashi probably meant something else by that, but this is where kaiser's mind went. ]
... well at the end of the day, humans are animals too
chasing pleasure is probably a matter of instinct

True enough.
Pleasure can be a distraction, so like most things, moderation is best.

[That's a good point, but Akashi doesn't know Kaiser didn't go to school.]
Sometimes ambition can drive away the ones you love. That's what happened with Kuroko and the rest of us.

I want to succeed and not lose the respect of people I care about. I want to be a better winner.

There are plenty of wrong ambitions.
