I tried to stab Kagami Taiga with a pair, so I suppose I have a bit of a sentimental attachment to the instruments.

He knew it was a joke, but Mibuchi would like it, and since Hayama was a bit of a pervert, too, he sent it to them. Mibuchi had a crush on him, and the Akashi Seijurou, who was in control at the time, knew it would make the two uncrowned kings under his command more loyal. Well, Mibuchi. Hayama was a wild card.

i feel like usually athletes dont admit that but yeah i agree.

[ as a natural lazyass, kaiser doesn't really enjoy working out in general... but he enjoys the fruits of his labors, so he does it regardless. now kaiser doesn't know if that means that this trait correlates with being openly mentally afflicted, or if lots of athletes feel that way and just don't want to say so... anyways.

there are plenty of professionally taken photos readily available on the internet of kaiser's tattoo in various levels of undress, so kaiser figures what akashi really wants is a personal one. sure, he can do that, he'll take a neck-down selfie with his tank top partially pulled down to simultaneously show off the crown tattoo on the back of his hand and better expose the roses on his neck. not the best selfie, but authentic, perhaps? ]

tattoos arent too common in japan, are they?
but most pro athletes have them in europe...

I don't mind most exercise, but crunches are the most annoying.

[He didn't know why he disliked them so much, just that he did. He likes running and lifting weights, though not so much leg day, but working on his chest and arms is enjoyable.

Thank you. And no, they're not too common. Too associated with the Yakuza. It's to the point where public bathhouses will ban people with tattoos from entering, even foreigners, to their confusion and irritation. Hot springs, too.

If not for that, I would get one when I'm older.

"Nocturno Esquematico" by Federico Garcia Lorca. If I had to pick just one of those lines, it'd be the last one. It made me laugh when I asked my mother to translate for me, but she made me understand what a metaphor was afterward, and I should always aim high.

You would need to know more than German and English to communicate with other teammates. Didn't Re Al put in an offer for you? They're in Spain, if I recall correctly.

Perhaps. I don't read much, either, but my mother thought it was important that I know some about poetry.

english is sufficient in most cases but yeah, it never hurts to pick up the language of whatever league you end up in.
it also is useful to be able to cuss people out in their native tongue [ heh ]

Not as much as I'd like. I am a very busy person. Basketball, student council, and my studies all take time, and I don't have the opportunity to read for leisure. And when I do, I tend to gravitate towards nonfiction.

i think its better to read with a purpose in mind... ive never really gotten into reading fiction. though i do like watching movies...

I don't think I've met anyone who doesn't like movies.
I think the last novel I read for fun was before I became team captain at Teikou.

That's a good point.
One of my teammates has an awful attention span, but he's riveted when watching superhero movies. The early movies had some charm to them but after a while...

I think Blade Runner is my favorite movie.

It was okay. Not as interesting to me.

But, yes, I do enjoy science fiction. I enjoy it more when it doesn't involve aliens and the work explores the relationship between humanity and technology, though I don't mind if they're there.

That said, Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress.
