watching kaiser waddle in deeper is kind of funny, though, so, eh. who cares. he gets up, a little hesitant, and shuffles out of his sneakers, leaving them placed neatly along with his socks next to kaiser's. after that, he sticks one toe into the water and... freezes on the spot.

[ kaiser can be weird and cagey about laughing or even smiling too wide at times, like he has some mental block against opening his mouth too wide where people might see it — but sae's reaction to dipping into the water has him laughing without reserve. it's not loud, but the sound of his laughter is very crisp and clear compared to how he usually laughs, free of the derision or haughtiness that often colors his tone.
